Going After What You Want

Happy Sunday! I have talked about this topic a few times already on my blog and probably will continue to in future posts. This is something that is so important to me and has proved time after time again to be successful. I was raised in a “you won’t know unless you ask” sort of household, so if we wanted something to happen we had to do what we could to make sure it did. When I started this blog I went in with the intent of creating a name for myself while simultaneously doing what I love, writing. I wasn’t (and still am not) sure of what I wanted to do with my life but figured this was a good start. I put myself out there in hopes that people would receive it well and I could continue to produce content I am proud of. But I just took a chance and went for it because I wanted to do it. The most recent example in my life is with my amazing internship with Mama Said Tees this summer. As an incoming sophomore in college I have decided to be a business marketing major and I felt like this could be a good fit for me to get my foot in the door. I fell in love with this company from the get go and couldn’t stop thinking about how much I would LOVE to work with them. So as I started discussing jobs this summer with my parents, I brought up approaching the Colleens to see if I could work for them. I sent an email and everything fell into place. I have now been working for them for almost a week and it is probably one of the coolest things I have ever been a part of. Find your passions. This doesn’t just apply to a job, it can be anything in your life that you want to change. GO and ASK for what you want. MAKE IT HAPPEN. You never know what could come of it. You are worth it.

xoxo Anna
