A Sister’s Love

Before I left for college we knew we would miss each other, I mean we are sisters and have lived together our whole lives. But it also got to the point where whenever we would fight it would end in “is this how you want me to remember you when you leave?” and “I’m leaving soon so you better be nice to me.” So dramatic, I know. It was a weird transition of seeing each other every day to maybe getting a text here and there or a picture just to keep up with our snapchat streak. These last few weeks or so she’s started calling me on her way home from school and I love it. She tells me about her day and all of the high school drama back at home. Because she is so busy with school and volleyball I haven’t gotten to see her nearly as much as I would like other than breaks. So I guess I just wanted to take this week to tell her how much she means to me and how lucky I am to have her as my sissy. Even though we don’t always show it, we do actually like each other sometimes. Our little dates this past summer are some of my favorite memories. We would go see a movie, get some sushi or froyo and just soak up those last moments of living under the same roof. She’s a really good sister and even better friend. I miss her a lot and I miss being able to just go in her room to say hi before bed. She’s such a hard worker and I admire her drive in everything she does. She really is making a name for herself. Definitely a proud sister to say the least. I am so incredibly lucky to have her and miss her so much every day. Keep killing it, Em. You rock my socks you pretty young thing.

What a wonderful post. You both deserve the sister God has given you. Sometimes it takes time to realize how many blessings we have. Thank you for sharing from your heart.
